| Yeshivah-Beth Rivkah's curriculum is based on the precepts of respect for the individual and the development and enhancement of each student's potential within a warm nurturing environment. We are committed to the task of equipping all students with the necessary academic and life skills needed for them to confidently take their place in society with pride in their Jewish identity and a strong sense of purpose.
The needs and abilities of each child are continually assessed and teaching strategies are employed to accommodate students' individual needs, rates of development and learning styles.
We offer a broad range of curriculum subjects, covering all of the Key Learning Areas. Students embark on an intensive Jewish Studies program, where they develop Hebrew language skills, an appreciation of the laws, traditions and culture and are able to study sacred texts in the original.
Beginning in the Early Learning Centres, the schools provide an exciting and stimulating place where students are challenged and supported. Teachers create a safe and happy environment where children are valued, praised and encouraged to 'have a go'.
Throughout primary school thinking and problem solving skills are fostered and students are encouraged to be active participants in the learning process. We maintain a strong focus on promoting independence, responsibility and citizenship.
The secondary schools are committed to providing for the development of key learning skills in compulsory subjects and for further enhancing student interest with choosing electives. Through sound academic and practical study, students further investigate their interests as they gain greater exposure to information and activities across learning areas. Resources and guidance is provided to support students in making informed choices about the best path to take.
The schools have an ongoing commitment to teacher professional development in regard to catering for individual differences and providing 'best practice'.
The curriculum is a 'working document' open to constant assessment and modification. Regular evaluation and review is vital to ensure the students' needs are catered for.
